The door of the surgery room opened, Hastyn stepped out and was surprised to find Ted, who was waiting outside the surgery room with his head buried in his hands. Hastyn walked to him and placed her hands over his shoulders.
Ted came to consciousness by the touch of Hastyn. He raised his head, and it shocked Hastyn to find his eyes were reddish out of his tears. It made her think, “Ted is an innocent soul and kind towards others.” She even had a little laugh inside about his innocence of crying over other people’s condition.
Hastyn asked him with knitted eyebrows and a question-filled face, “Ted... Why? Are you waiting for me?”
Ted stood up with bloodshot eyes and he held his hands to Hastyn to wipe his tears. “Doc, the patient?”
