Mbaru was just at the center with a sword holding it in his hand, he used his earth ability to make a rock lift him from the ground into the air and then he was able to climb the back of a dragon, he used his sword to pierce its neck until he slides all the way down to the side with it and the Dragon fell to the ground dead.
