Sailing south, Indian Ocean
It’s five days since we left Colombo. Albi is doing well. His broken wing is healing. The Captain is hoping he will be able to find a home for him in Perth.
Kate has been in touch with Tony. They talk every evening via the internet. The bandwidth is too narrow for them to be able to use video, but Kate says she can hear from his voice that he is upbeat. His doctors have told Dave that his condition is improving. As soon as they’d been sure there was no infection, they had repaired the veins. The worry now is keeping his circulation going to stave off gangrene. They expect to be able to rebuild the tissue in his leg.
