Au revoir, or is it adieu?
Kate and i make it to the South Mole in good time and find a parking space looking out over the end of the Swan estuary. The Albion is sitting proud in her berth at the Victoria Quay in the Inner Harbor over to our right. She’s too far away for us to see any depth of detail, but we can make out the tugs getting into position. With some time to spare we walk along to the end of the mole and round the green lighthouse. Down below us small boats are beginning to drop anchor in readiness to witness the great ship’s passage out into the open sea. We saunter back towards our car and take up a central position overlooking the waterway.
