PART 2: THE AMBUSH

10:30 AM. BLUE RIVER CEO OFFICE.

Door SLAMMED open.

Chairman Kwon.

Suit.

Eyes like River’s.

But colder.

"Get out," he said to the secretary.

Sena stood up.

"Chairman Kwon. This is a surprise."

"Cut it," he said. "You and my son."

Sena didn’t flinch.

"What about us?"

"You’re distracting him.

He has a company to run.

A legacy to build.

Not time for CEO romance."

River walked in.

Saw his dad.

Saw Sena.

Immediately walked to her.

Stood in front of her.

"Father."

"Son. We need to talk. Alone."

"No," River said.

"Excuse me?"

Chairman Kwon laughed.

"You’re choosing her over family?"

"I’m choosing what’s right," River said.

Chairman Kwon turned to Sena.

Sena’s hands shook.

But her voice was steady.

"I’m not ruining him.

I’m building with him."

"Building?" Chairman scoffed.

"I can destroy you both in 24 hours.

One call.

Stock drops.

Investors pull out.

Your little joint company dies."

River stepped forward.

"Try it."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me.

Try it.

Really looked at his son.

PART 4: THE AFTERMATH

Sena was shaking.

Not from fear.

From anger.

River turned to her.

"Are you okay?"

"Are YOU okay?"

"I’m fine."

"You just disowned your dad for me."

"I disowned him a long time ago," River said.

"You just didn’t see it."

Sena walked to him.

Hugged him.

Tight.

"I’m sorry," she whispered.

"For what?"

"For making you choose."

"You didn’t," River said.

"I chose you.

3 years ago when I stole that client.

Yesterday when I kissed you.

Today when I told him off.

I keep choosing you, Han."

Sena cried.

Just a little.

Into his suit.

"Yours," he said back.

8:00 PM. PRESS CONFERENCE.

They had to address it.

Rumors were everywhere.

CEO DATING RIVAL CEO

CHAIRMAN DISOWNS SON

River and Sena stood at the podium.

Together.

Reporter: "CEO Kwon, is it true you’re dating CEO Han?"

River looked at Sena.

Squeezed her hand under the podium.

"Yes," he said.

"It’s true.

CEO Han and I are together.

Personally and professionally.

And we’re not going anywhere."

Flash. Flash. Flash.

Reporter: "CEO Han, how do you respond to Chairman Kwon?"

Sena smiled.

Calm.

Strong.

"Chairman Kwon is entitled to his opinion.

But BlueRiver isn’t his.

It’s ours.

And we’re building it together.

Another flash.

In the car.

River pulled her in.

Kissed her forehead.

Her nose.

Her lips.

"You were brave," Sena said.

Sena leaned on his shoulder.

"So. Co-CEOs.

River smiled.

"Now we win.
