Chapter 1

I roll over and slap my alarm off. It's 6:45 am, the time I would usually be waking up for school. But, I just got kicked out of school for fighting and I'm not going back to that f****d up ass place. My mama is too busy trying to please her new husband who is nothing but a piece of s**t, to be concerned about me or what I'm doing. I'm 16 now and I can quit school legally so there is nothing she can do about it even if she wanted to.

I get up and creep out my room to use the bathroom and there he is in all of his piece of s**t glory, watching porn on the internet. He probably hasn't even been to bed. My mama can do so much better than his fat ugly ass! He looks over and smirks at me with his evil grin. I just give him the finger and go on about my business.

When I come out of the bathroom there he is outside the door. He pushes up against me and forces my back against the wall. I can smell his nasty breath. It smells like beer and cigarettes gross! He leans down and whispers in my ear "you looking sexy in them boy shorts". I kindly knee him in the balls! He falls to the floor with a loud thud and screams "you b***h"! My mom comes running out the room and before I can say anything he's yelling "the little b***h just kicked me in the balls because I told her she has to go to school"! "Mama that's a lie he..." I don't wanna hear it Lani I'm sick of your disrespect"! "You gotta get out of here. Since you think you're grown, get out of my house "!

I ran to my room with tears streaming down my face. How can she believe him and not even let me explain? f**k this! I'll get out, anything has to be better than this.I really had no idea the troubles I was about to go through.
