Chapter 3

It had been 2 weeks since I moved into the apartment and I was struggling to eat. I used the little bit of money I had to buy bread and sandwich meat and cereal and milk and a few snacks. I was running out fast though. I walked outside to get some fresh air and Shine was standing outside with some homies. "Aye lil mama" he yelled across the parking lot. "Come over here and hit the blunt". I walked over to where he was and he passed me the blunt. "You been doing ok" he asked? "Yeah I'm cool just been hungry" I replied. "I've been looking for a job but no luck yet ". "You hungry? Come on let's go get you something to eat ". I thought to myself this dude is really nice.

We hopped in his Honda Accord and rode to Taco Bell. When we got there he told me to order what I wanted. I ordered the chalupa combo with a large Dr pepper. We sat in the car while I ate. When I was done he had rolled another blunt and passed it to me. I was in my head thinking about everything when I felt his hand between my legs. I jumped and dropped the blunt in the floor board. "What the f**k are you doing"? I yelled. "Ain't s**t in this world free lil mama. You ate, now I wanna eat too" he said nastily. "Now give me some of that sweet p***y". I could have thrown up right there. But I realized in that moment that I had nowhere to run. I could either give him what he wanted or he was gonna take it and it wouldn't be nice. So when he reached back over to touch me I didn't fight him. Here I was in the parking lot of a Taco Bell getting f****d by a guy I hardly even knew. That was the day I realized that in order to survive I was gonna have to turn off my emotions and do what I had to do.

Two days later I'm laying in bed when I hear a knock at the door. I run down the stairs and peep out the peep hole. It's my girl Dee. I opened the door and she comes in full of life! "b***h what you been doing "? she asks. " Nothing girl just trying to survive " I replied. "Girl we gotta get you outta here "! "There's a new club opening tonight called Royal Red we should go check it out "! "Girl we're not old enough to get into no club" I said. "Well my boy Shine knows the door guys and he said he can get us in" she replied. Shine uugghh this nigga. I hadn't told Dee how he tried me. I didn't plan to either. I was too ashamed to tell her I f****d for Taco Bell. So we just started getting dressed for the club. I had some led lights set up around the house so we got to work getting sexy. I put on my black lace jumpsuit with a red bra and red panties. Then I put on my 6 inch red Jimmy Choos. I blow dried my hair and ran a curling iron through it so my long black hair was ringlets down my back. Then I sprayed my Marc Jacobs Dot and I was ready to go.

When we pulled up to the club all we saw were fine ass niggas everywhere! There were bad ass cars sitting on 28's and s**t everywhere too. I was thinking to myself I gotta hook me one of these niggas tonight. We get out the car and walk up to the door where we see Shines nasty ass standing with one of the bouncers. "Aye Shine what's up homie" Dee exclaims. "What it do lil Mama's" he says back. "You gonna get us in right" Dee asks. "Hell yeah" he says then turns to the bouncer and says "Yo Blue these are my girls. Let them in dawg". Blue motions us forward and puts wristbands on us both. We walk inside and it's super thick! Every light in the club is red. There are three stories and each story is full! We start making our way through the crowd to the bar. It's ladies night so we drink free and thanks to Blue we have wristbands that confirm we're old enough to drink so I'm about to get white boy wasted in this b***h! I wave the bartender over and order a triple shot Long Island Ice Tea. I quickly drink it down and order another. I'm starting to feel good and forget all my troubles when this sexy ass dude walks up and says to the bartender "get her another of whatever she's drinking, on me". I look up at him and his eyes are soft. He looks like a real sweetheart. "You know ladies drink free right" I asked him. "Yeah that's cool but I wanted to buy you a drink, is that ok with you" he laughs. "Ok it's your pockets" I laugh too. "Well my pockets are deep so let me worry bout that" he says while pulling out a fat roll of what looks to be all hundreds. Ok this is my type of nigga I think to myself. I get my drink and he grabs my hand leading me to the dance floor. Just then Acon's song "I wanna f**k you" comes on and I start grinding on him. I've always been an excellent dancer so I'm breaking it down grinding and dropping it on him. We dance through several more songs and I finally decide to get some air and find my girl Dee. I walk to the bathroom and that's where I find her. She's in the bathroom with some white girl sniffing cocaine. "Yo what the f**k are you doing Dee" I exclaimed! "Girl you should try some it will loosen you up" she laughs. I've been in "f**k it mode" all night so I say "f**k it" and take the rolled up bill from her, lean down and sniff up a line. Within seconds I'm not drunk anymore and I feel like I could run circles around the club if I wanted to. This s**t feels great! So, of course I snort another. Dee grabs my hand and leads me back to the dance floor where we dance until we hear last call.

I'm walking out the exit when someone grabs my hand. I look up and it's Mr. Sexy from the bar. "Aye where y'all beauties headed to" he asks. "Waffle House" we both yell then laugh. "Can I join you" he asks? "Only if you're treating" I replied. "I'll follow y'all" he says. A few minutes later we pull up to the Waffle House and walk in and grab a table. "Get whatever y'all want my treat" he says. "I don't even know your name and you've already bought me several drinks and now breakfast" I say to him. He laughs a deep sexy laugh and says "My name is Kai. What's yours"? "I'm Lani and this is my girl Dee" I said. "Lani that's a pretty name. Is it short for something" he asks. "Leilani" I replied. "Ok Leilani, what would you like to eat".he asked. I order a ham and cheese omelette with grits and white toast and an orange juice. We all eat and talk about how much we enjoyed the new club. "So, I see both of you ladies can dance and you're both beautiful. Have you ever considered using that beauty to make some money " he asks. "We ain't no tricks " Dee says sharply. He laughs out loud " I'm not talking about tricking. I'm talking about dancing " he says. "You mean like stripping " I ask. "Yes exactly" he says. "I have a group of ladies who I book private parties for and I make sure they are taken care of. These girls go home with $1000 a night sometimes". Wow! What I could do with that kind of money right now. " So what you're like their pimp" I asked. "No baby pimps have prostitutes I'm more like their bodyguard and I get a cut for going with them and making sure they're safe as well as booking the parties" he says. "I tell you what, I'll leave you with my number and you think about it and hit me up if you're down" he grabs my phone and saves his number on it the contacts, stands up, throws a hundred dollar bill on the table and says."you ladies have a nice night and get home safely " the he turns and walks out.

I look over at Dee and her jaw is wide open. I laugh and ask her "you ok b***h"? "Yeah but that was crazy " she says. "I think that was an answer to my prayers" I laugh. "Are you really considering stripping for that man" she asks. "Well you see my situation right? I gotta do something " I replied. "Girl I feel you but it could be dangerous " she says. "Well that's what Kai is for to make sure we're safe right " I ask. "Yeah but who keeps us safe from him" she says.
