Mrs. Houston was pulling the window close because of the wind the rain was causing when she saw Alpha Mille pushing Mimilia into the rain while she sat on the box and she rushed downstairs immediately. "What are you doing? Why is she out in the rain?" She asked, trying to open the door.
Alpha Mille didn't bother to stop her since the door was already locked, "Find the key, open the door and your job is finished here, you will go with her to wherever you want to go to." He ordered and the elder woman gasped, was he threatening her with her job? When did he become heartless?
Mrs. Houston has been the Alpha's nanny since he was four, she served his family as a cook when his mother was still alive. "You are threatening me?" She asked unbelievably and he scoffed, standing up to go to his room. "The rain is too heavy for her, let her stay for the night." She begged him but he ignored her till he entered his room.
Mrs. Houston could only watch from the window, she pitied Mimilia, the young lady who had been through a lot. Mimilia sat on her wet box which contained her wet clothes for more than an hour, waiting for Mille to come and pull her in. "Won't he come at all?" Her hopes got shattered, and her lips and body were trembling like lightning was striking them consecutively.
Mimilia wiped her face, looking up to the sky and she concluded that the rain wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. "We should leave this place and find refuge," Moon said, her voice shaking like she was also feeling really cold and Mimilia nodded sadly. She dragged the box alongside her as she trekked outside the gates.
The gates were opened without delay like the gateman was already waiting for her departure. She glanced at the gigantic house and most importantly, Alpha Mille's room before the gates slammed close against her face. Now, it was just her, the rain, and the graveyard street - she hasn't felt so alone in her entire life.
Mimilia was walking as slowly as ever, she was feeling dizzy and weak but she knew she needed to find a suitable and safe place she would rest till the next morning. "Are you okay, Mimi?" Funny enough, it was only Alpha Mille and Moon that addresses her as Mimi - it made her remember him again.
"You are not fine." Moon hissed and Mimilia bit her lips quivering lips, hugging her trembling body with her other hand that was void. If she was telling lies to the who world, she couldn't lie to Moon because Moon is like her other half, she knows everything going on in her mind, body, and life.
No one had any idea where she was headed, she just kept walking under the rain that was already turning to drops. "My eyes are turning like an electric washing machine," Moon whined, that was exactly what Mimilia was feeling but she was struggling hard to keep up her sight till she gets to somewhere safe.
She thanked her stars that rain was falling when she got thrown out or she would have definitely been beaten, taunted, or even assaulted by the street hefty guys roaming around drunkenly and jobless. Moon sensed her other half was going through a hard time, she dominated quickly without permission.
Just as Moon dominated, taking charge of Mimilia's body, she felt a little energy that was supposed to hold her half still drain immediately. She started shaking badly, dragging the heavy along with her like she was pulling a stone - damn Alpha Mille for this! Moon cursed in a low tone, hoping Mimilia didn't hear her. She heard, she was just too weak to talk.
After trekking a very long distance they were sure they were now far from the place that was once her home. Moon couldn't hold on any longer no matter how hard she tried too, the dizziness wouldn't just go away - she went unconscious immediately, falling on the road with her box laid beside her.
Elgin has been watching her from afar, he saw the way she dragged herself along with the box. The way she shook like her legs weren't stable, her petite body trembled under the rain. When the others left during Alpha Mille's and his wife's fight, he didn't leave.
He hung around the street as if he knew what his friend was capable of doing, he couldn't believe he sent the innocent lady who did nothing wrong out of the house and worse still, inside the heavy rain. "So cold hearted...." Elegy muttered, maintaining his car speed towards the slow-moving Mimilia.
Elgin pressed on the brake immediately when he saw her fall unconscious on the road, damnit! He rushed towards her and carried her quickly. Even though the rain had stopped, her unconscious body was trembling hard in his arms - he put her into the backseat, went back to carry her box, and drove away.
"Sister...." He called as he rushed into his house, taking some cash from the table. Eleanor was in the kitchen, waiting for him after he called that he would be coming home late. "What is it?" She asked seeing his fearful expression. "His wife -- she is unconscious!" Eleanor gasped, rushing upstairs immediately.
She carries her one-year-old daughter, wore her flip-flop, and headed to the car - her baby's nanny wasn't around because she was already on a week's break. "You don't need to tag along, I will deal with it," Elgin said, asking her to go lay baby Peggy upstairs, demanding that she shouldn't disturb the baby girl's sleep.
Eleanor was already out of the door before he finished speaking, she strapped Peggy to her chest with a baby carrier and sat at the seat beside the driver. "Is it so serious with Mille?" She glanced at the back, gasping at the state Mimilia was that she felt sorry for her.
Elgin couldn't reply, he just drove to a nearby hospital at an accelerated speed. The nurses took Mimilia away from his arms while Eleanor went to the counter to register the patient, slowly rocking Peggy on her chest when she sniffed because of the noise in the hospital which was caused by her younger brother.
Elegy wanted to enter the ward with them but the doctors strictly requested he stay put outside or they wouldn't attend to the patient, he had no choice but to wait for the report. "How is she?" Elgin sprang up immediately he sighted the doctor coming out from the ward where Mimilia was admitted.
The doctor sighed, placing his stethoscope around his neck and adjusting his coat. "She hit her head somewhere which would have caused her brain damage. She would lose her memory if it should repeat itself." He said and Elgin released a deep sigh, he was glad she is out of danger.
"No complications, just cold and the others that would disappear once she follows the description but there is good news." He said and the siblings looked at him, wondering what good news he was talking about. "Sir, your wife is pregnant." The doctor gave a toothy smile, thinking Elgin is the patient's husband since Eleanor looked older than him and she had her child.
Pregnant? The doctor's voice rang in his head multiple times and he felt like staggering for a little while. Elgin sat on the available chair next to him, his hands covering his face. He was worried that Mimilia would carry the pregnancy on her own because his friend, Alpha Mille would never accept it.
