It's been a couple of weeks since the rogues attacked The Pack of the Moon, and things have slowly gotten back together. The death toll was slim, including Charlie. The Alpha and Luna had a funeral for every fallen pack warrior and sent their souls back to the mother goddess.
Lizzy has woken up, but she's not entirely the same, not that anyone could blame her. She has to relearn how to live without her mate. The idea of never seeing him again or having a family of her own suffocates her daily, but she has been working through it in therapy.
Crystal and her family have been providing support to every family that has lost someone. Unsure of why the rogues attacked, they've doubled training and boarder rotations. Thankfully, even tho the death toll was slim, the regular pack members were all able to get to the bunkers in time, so none of them were lost.
The pack was buzzing with activity as they were getting ready to hold their Thanksgiving festivities. The moods were somber, but everyone was getting better with each passing day, thankful to be alive and thankful for the sacrifices of their warriors.
The snow has also begun to lie on the ground, blanketing the pack lands in a beautiful looking wonderland as the pine trees around the lands get their whimsical winter appearance. The view was simply breathtaking.
Noises could be heard inside the pack house, laughter and chatting as the members who ate in the house sat around for meals. Stories of the fallen have been a favorite topic of everyone, as they remember them during the holidays.

Dustin has been secluded in his office for days, working on the finishing touches to "kidnap" his mate. His wolf is still entirely against the idea. Hoping that once his han counterpart feels the mate bond, he'd change his tune.
Bane couldn't find any further information on Crystal besides the news of the recent rogue attack against her family's pack, he of course passed along this information to Dustin. He also read about the Beta's daughter whose mate was one of the fallen. He genuinely felt bad for her as well as Crystal.
Dustin seemed almost ecstatic at the possibility of getting to Crystal. He would go to The Pack of the Moon to offer his "assistance" in any way they would need and then take Crystal away from her pack. He believes his plan is foolproof.
Katherine has become increasingly moody too, unaware of what Dustin was planning. She knew her position as Luna wasn't endangered, but she still felt extremely annoyed that Dustin had been refusing to sleep with her. She wanted to fall pregnant and soon.

*Crystal POV*
Every day has been getting better. Lizzy has stopped isolating herself in Charlie's house and has started to come to the pack house a lot more. She's not entirely better, but she's getting there, thankfully.
I've missed my friend so much. It was absolutely horrible watching her go through something like this. I'm hopeful the goddess will bless her with a second chance mate at some point.
Sometimes the goddess will give someone a second chance if their original mate passes away, it's rare but it does happen.
We were sitting at the table enjoying a meal with her family and mine when a warrior came in with the daily important mail. As my dad was going through, he opened them and read them. I watched as his eyes scanned before landing on me with a bit of a smile.
"Look at this, hunny. The Alpha and Beta from The BloodStone Pack are requesting entry to see if they could find their mates within our pack," he said while showing my mom, the Luna, the letter.
"That's wonderful! I hope two of our members are their mates. We could form an alliance with them if that is the case!" She chirped happily.
Rolling my eyes slightly at Mom, I chuckle as Dad holds up his glass, "Cheers to a possible alliance with The BloodStone Pack!"
After dinner, Dad makes his way to his office in order to call The BloodStone Pack to invite them over the following day.
Mom got busy with making sure everything looked spotless for the visiting Alpha and Beta. I thought it was a bit overkill since our omegas did a wonderful job at keeping everything clean, but when mom gets a fire in her eye, it's better to just let her to her thing.

*Dustin POV*
I was still in my office with Bane when I received a phone call from Alpha Green of The Pack of the Moon.
"Yes, we would host you and your beta tomorrow."
"Wonderful! We cannot wait to visit your pack lands and hopefully find out mates," I respond.
"We will see you both tomorrow, have a wonderful day."
As I hang up the phone, Bane looks over at me while running a hand through his hair. I know he's against my plan to use Crystal as a breeder, but he's smart enough not to say anything about it anymore.
