MIA’S POV “Griffin?.” I called out when I opened my eyes, which still feel heavy and like sandpaper. I turned around to see a note on the bedside table, my heart instantly pains. I know what the letter holds. I knew last night something was wrong, even though he told me everything is ok. I unfold it and read. I read it at least 3times to make sure what I’m reading actually is true, but it’s true. He left, and he’s not coming back this time. I called his number, but it continues going to voicemail. “Griffin, please pick up your phone. What have we become, baby? Don’t do this, I’d rather be in danger than be without you, don’t do this.” I weep into the speaker. I tried calling repeatedly, but it still goes to voicemail. I curled up my legs, flooding the letter, and then teared it up.
