CHAPTER TWO: SUDDEN CHARACTER CHANGE

"Phew... finally I'm back home" I said in relieve as I threw myself on my bed

"Lena!!" dad shouted from the kitchen

Ughh...I just know what he's gonna let me do. "Go to Mr Williams bakery for bread is what he would say" I muttered to myself.

I dragged my feet all the way down stairs ,then to the kitchen

"Dad..I'm here" I said as I walked to the kitchen

"Welcome dear...." Dad was talking as I interrupted

"How many loaves of bread ??" I asked

Dad just smiled at me and said "You aren't going for bread today. I guess today was stressful so no bread today" he said with that weird smile he doesn't normally give me

"Is dad alright? he hasn't talked to me so calm before. I guess he might have taken in something he shouldn't" I thought to myself as I looked at him blankly.

"Lena dear,...is your mind hear" he asked as I came back to my senses

"Yes, Dad" I replied

"So tell me. Did you make some friends" she asked

"Umm...not that much just a few" i muttered out

"So who's this your new friend?" Dad asked as if she cared

"Umm...a Chinese girl" I said

"That's amazing. What's her name " he asked with curiosity

"Ummmm....." I thought for a while because I couldn't remember her name well.

Dad just kept looking at me for an answer

"It's....Zî Xuān I guess" I said, not quite sure of the name.

"Then I guess she's Noble and elegant as her says"dad said with a warm smile

I just looked at her questionly

Looking at Dad's sudden change in behavior, I just sat on a bench in our backyard for some fresh air

Phew...I sighed and thought about everything that has happened.

Just then ,the thought of the guy I saw at the cafeteria run through my mind. How cute, adorable and handsome he looked. But then again, my thoughts were disrupted when I saw Ken. A childhood friend that has always been a pin in the a*s. "Hey dude!" He said as he got closer

I just rolled my eyes and ignored him

"Lena , why that ?" He asked

"Why what " I asked in annoyance

"Nevermind, I just came to inform you there will be a solo match between you and some other guy from team GHD. I don't seem to remember his name" Ken said in a calm and cool manner

"Why is everyone behaving so different today?" I thought to myself

"What's the matter? I can see you're scared, dummy" he said sarcastically.

" That's him again" I thought

"Ok....thanks for the update" I said and he seem to like it when I thanked him

"Byee..dummy . See you at our HQ" he said and ran off
