Chapter 2: Unsealed When Lin Xiaoran felt the intense connection between him and the ring, Lin Xiaoran excitedly reached for the silver ring on top of King Lins palm without a second thought. However, the moment he did, something he had never expected occurred Lin Xiaoran saw a bright green light enveloped the room and then he felt something very hot gushing from all the pores of his body. In the next moment... AHHHHHHHHHHH Lin Xiaoran could only scream in pain as he passed out moments after... Looking at his son writhing in pain, King Lin waved his hand and a huge barrier of qi [1] surrounded the room. That barrier of qi was meant to stop the screams of Lin Xiaoran from spreading outside, a precaution to avoid panic within the palace. King Lin had already expected that to happen. Of course, his sworn brother, Ren Changmin, had already told him about it. When Ren Changmin came and left his son, the only thing he told King Lin was that, his sons meridians were sealed and that they were sealed for his own safety. Truth be told, Ren Changmin actually wished for his son to live a peaceful life, never stepping in the world of cultivation. Ren Changmin told King Lin that it was better for his son to remain a mortal, rather than entering his true world, where the shadow of death was always lurking behind everyones backs... As for King Lins opinion of course he was opposed to this. King Lin knew how much of a genius cultivator Reng Changmin was, and one could only imagine how much more of a genius his son would become. Even if Ren Changmins son only inherited half of his talent, then it would still be above anyone's within the Skyfire Kingdom. For King Lin, it was something he could never wish to waste. For that reason, Ren Changmin compromised by giving him the silver ring that was, at that moment, being held in Lin Xiaorans hand. Ren Changmin told King Lin that, if his son would ever learn of the truth, then that ring would have everything he needs to know. He also added that the same ring would be the key to unsealing his meridians. After the previous conversation between them, Ren Changmin had left. Since then, King Lin had never heard anything from him. At that time, King Lin still did not have a son and because of that, Skyfire Kingdom didnt have a successor. However, the appearance of Ren Changmin and his son had changed all of this. After Ren Changmin left, King Lin adopted Ren Changmins son as his own child, and named him Lin Xiaoran. After everything was settled, King Lin publicized that he had found his son and that this son, Lin Xiaoran, would become the successor of Skyfire Kingdom, the crown prince, and the future king of the renowned most formidable country within the Tianhuo Continent. Since then, King Lins had made a lot of plans in order to prepare Lin Xiaoran as the future king of the Skyfire Kingdom. However, some of these plans were thrown into disarray after what they had just witnessed. Lin Xiaoran learned of his identity so much earlier than what King Lin had planned Because of that, some events which would have happened in the nearby future, had been prevented, or would be reconsidered. Thinking about this King Lin could only sigh. Knowing that Lin Xiaorans meridian opening would take a few hours more, King Lin left Lin Xiaorans room. That was time right time to re evaluate his plans and change most of it for the better
