As our group wings away from Thorntail lands, I come to an important decision.
The moment Tempest and I return to our chambers, I’ll let my husband know. The emperor said to give him the word when I was ready to share our bodies.
Well, word. I’m ready.
As we soar toward the line of red mountains, I can’t help but think through what will happen next. First, Tempest and I will take to our rooms. Our chambers are cozy enough, even if the rest of the castle is a vampire-style monstrosity. I’ll then select a frilly robe to wear. Next I’ll tell Tempest about my decision and amazing things will happen: we’ll have a full night together. That’s more than enough time before Capture the Flag starts tomorrow morning.
The more I contemplate this idea, the better I like it.
