When everything comes back into focus, I find myself lying on my back in a graveyard. Damn. This is the same spot as last time. Alden stands a few yards away, puffing on a cigarette. His face and clothes are still a mess. I roll myself into a seated position. My new tail starts to stir under my long leather duster. On reflex, I set my hand atop the arrowhead end. My tail quiets.
