I WROTE THESE SAME words in the Plastic Girl: Evolution’s acknowledgement, but, to me, they need repeating—My daughters' personalities, curiosity and the way they love each other inspired the heroines of this story. Their daily gameplay, experiments, and observations give me hope that we can overcome the environmental and social challenges we face. Michael Judd supported this story from the beginning and is a valuable and irreplaceable creative and life partner. My siblings make this world less lonely, and if I didn't have them, I'd probably make them out of plastic. I love that my parents told me stories, sang me songs, and made me go outside.
