“THIS is what BU looks like,” she asked, astonished.“Yep,” I said.
“I feel underdressed.”
“That’s news coming from you,” I said.
I put her backpack on her back and took her upstairs to where the dorms are. She asked me questions about every little thing about this place. I answered them all because I knew that she wouldn’t let me ignore her questions.
I took her straight to my dorm before she asked anything else. When we got to the door, I was about to open it when I realized I forgot to tell her about the boys.
“Wait,” I said. “Before we go in, the boy I was telling you about is my roommate and so is his cousin.”
“You’re kidding, right,” she asked.
I shook my head no. “He’s the one with the dark brown hair. The one with the yellow hair is his cousin.”
We walked in and the boys just stared at us. Milo smiled warmly at the both of us while Blade just stared at us as if he was so confused.
“Hey Nemy,” Milo said, waving at me.
“Who the hell is this,” Blade asked, demandingly.
“My best friend, Megan,” I said. “Megan, this is Milo and Blade.”
“Oh so you’re the boy who cheated on his girlfriend with Nemy, but then said she was just a fling and didn’t actually like her,” Megan said to Blade.
I just stood there, not caring about a single word of what she was saying while Blade looked at her and Milo acted like he wasn’t paying attention to anything, but tv.
“Yeah,” Blade said. “What about it? She forgave me.”
“You did,” Megan asked, disappointedly.
“No I didn’t,” I said. “I said we’re cool, but you’ll never be forgiven.”
“Why’s that,” Blade asked.
“Because you don’t care about other people’s feelings,” Megan said for me. “If you really didn’t like Nemy, you wouldn’t have cheated on your girlfriend with her. Or should I say ex girlfriend?”
Blade just sat there, not believing the words coming out of her mouth. He then looked at me, and noticed that I wasn’t gonna correct her. He then looked down, ashamed.
“You told her all that,” he asked.
“Of course she di-” Megan said.
“I didn’t ask you,” he snapped, cutting her off. “I asked Nemy. Did you tell her all that?”
“Yeah,” I said, matter of factly. “I mean, of course I did. She’s my bestie for a reason, is she not?”
“You don’t have to tell her everything, do you,” he asked.
“Yes I do,” I said. “She’s my best friend and I can tell her whatever I want to tell her. It’s my choice and my business. She does the same thing with me. Why is it so wrong to tell her all about all the bad things you did to me?”
“Cause it’s none of her business,” Blade said.
“If it’s my business, then it’s her business, too,” I said. “If you have a problem with it then deal with it.”
He then went silent and Megan gave me a thumbs up as if to say good job. We then ordered Uber Eats and it came to our door in less than an hour. I ordered Mexican, Megan ordered Italian, Milo ordered Asian, and Blade ordered whatever. I honestly didn’t even care what he eats.
After we all finished our food, we all talked, Megan got to know the boys and the boys got to know Megan.
While Megan, Milo and I were talking, I secretly ordered a cute dress that I knew Megan would love to wear for the dance tomorrow night and a pair of high heels she’s been wanting for a long time now. They were expensive, but I bought them anyway. The app said it would come tomorrow morning around 8 in the morning.
When the clock said 9:15, I got tired. I got up and made a pallet on the floor. Megan was already sleeping in my bed and Blade was sleeping on his bed while I was making the pallet. Milo tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to him, stopping what I was doing.
“You don’t have to sleep on the floor,” he said. “You can sleep in my bed if you want.”
“Well where are you gonna sleep,” I asked.
“In the bed,” he said.
I smirked and layed down in his bed with Milo right behind me. We were both turned away from each other.
