Harper's POV:
"Excuse me?"
I didn't know when I shot up from my chair. My hands were already gripping the edge of my desk so hard my knuckles went white.
Who the hell barges into someone's office calling them names?
"Please! Please! I said what I said." Her voice got louder and she was moving deeper into my office now, past the doorway, past the point where this could still be professional. "You're a woman w***e!"
My stomach dropped when I finally saw her face clearly.
"Hailey?" The name came out quieter than I meant it to.
"Do not call my name. Do not!" She was shaking... her whole body trembling with rage or hurt or both. "Who the hell are you to just come into his life and let him alter everything?"
