Harper's POV: My foot pressed harder on the gas pedal and the speedometer climbed past eighty... eighty-five... ninety, and I knew I should slow down but my heart was beating even faster than the car was moving and I couldn't make myself ease up. The highway moved past the windows and my hands gripped the steering wheel so tight my knuckles had gone white. "So what do you think our strategy will be when we get there?" A voice came from beside me and she had to almost yell it because the music was so loud... some rap song I didn't even know the name of but I'd cranked up the volume until the bass was vibrating through the seats. I needed something loud. Something to drown out the voice in my head that kept saying I was making a mistake... that I should have told Hardin about Meridian
