Chapter Three: Ellie

995 Words
Business meetings are the worst. But what is worse is when your put into the position of hosting the meeting. My dad thought it would be a good learning experience. So I'm sitting in the meeting room with Chinese, Russian, Japanese, South Korean, Canadian, Australian, British, and Dutch fashion designers. Going over new designs. I want to tell them there all ugly but I can't. "Ms. Hiller what do you think." Australia asked. "Well being younger and seeing fashion differently from the rest of you. No offense. I think these would not be wise to follow through with. The styles are either to far from trending it there over used. I understand why you made them and there good designs but I just don't think that would be in our best interest." They all nodded. Understanding what I'm saying about the designs. Thank god this would've been a horrible day if they had gotten mad. We wrapped up the meeting with hand shakes and akward hugs. They all treated me like a child so I just naturally wanted to beat them into the floor. I was so happy to finally leave. I didn't even say bye to my dad I just left him a note. Him and my mom are leaving for a business trip tonight so I get the house to myself. Thank god. That means I can dance without having to worry about them. I finally got to my apartment building and I ran up the stairs so fast I bumped into someone. "Oh my god I'm so sorry." "No it's fine I was looking for you actually." "Me?" "Yeah I saw you dancing yesterday. And I have a friend that really likes to dance." "Look I really don want to dance with-" "I know it's weird but he needs a partner ha has this dance and all he can talk about is if he had a partner he would be able to do it." "I um I'll think about it." The girl smiled at me. Showing off her greenish- hazel eyes. "Here's his number." She handed me a slip of paper. "Tell him Carlie told you to call." I nodded my head and walked away. I gave he a small wave and unlocked me apartment. I almost slammed the door. I didn't know if I wanted to call him or forget I ever even got a number. I set the paper only desk and started so music. I just laid there not actually thinking about anything. But also thinking about everything at the same time. Should I call him? No that's crazy! But I need a person for my dance! But what if he's and ass? I just grabbed my phone and picked it up. I looked at the paper and type the number into my phone and hit call. Ring... Ring... Ring... "Hello who is this?" His voice was deep. It made butterflies fill my stomach. "I'm Ellie. Carlie told me to call you." "Oh. You really don't have to." He sounded so unsure of himself. "No I really need a partner for the dance I've created and I don't have anyone to do." "Alright well I'm free right now. If you wanna meet we can." "Sure. How about I send you my address and we can practice here." "Sure." We said out goodbyes and I texted him my address and I got up to choose clothes. I picked out black leggings and a sports bra. I grabbed a zip up hoodie. I went to the kitchen and grabbed to bottles of water. I ate a protein bar and sat at my island. Waiting for him to arrive. I was scared because I don't talk to people. Like ever. It just never works out they always ask about my parents. I couldn't ever keep friends they would always wanna go out and then use my money. Because you know I'm made of it. I know people want money but I would never wish this life in anyone. It's harder than you think. We have to live somewhere with security so the press doesn't stand outside our door. I know my parents love there job but sometimes I think it creates to many problems. I heard a knock on the door so I got up and went to the door. I opened it and there stood about one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen. He had brown curly hair with blond highlights. He was tall and muscular. His face looked sweet and kind while is body was almost scary. "Are you Ellie?" His voice is better in real life. "Yeah come on in. I have to grab shoes." He nods and walks in. "I'm Zach by the way." "Ah s**t sorry I didn't even ask for your name!" He laughed. "It's fine honestly." We laughed a little and I went to my room quick grabbing my phone and a pair of sneakers. I slipped them on and went back to the main part of the house. Zack stood looking out my window cracking his knuckles. Like a nervous habit. "You ready to go." He nodded as he turned around. I opened the door and he went out. I closed the door locking it and took him up to the roof. The sun was setting perfectly so there was a darkness over the roof. I put my phone and the waters down and ran to the electric box. I flipped the switch and light spread across the roof. It was a yellow tint but gave us enough light. I ran back to my phone and started some random song. I touched my toes. "Hey what's the song your using?" "17 by Pink $weats." I heard him hum and I stood up straight to look at him he took off his shirt to reveal his toned chest. His tan abs on full display. Holy hell how am I gonna make this work?
