Chapter 2

1620 Words
As soon as class was over, I booked it out of there quick. I wanted to avoid Will at all costs. Yah, so what I kissed him? I’m sure he kisses lots of girls. So why was he now all of a sudden interested in me? He didn’t even know that existed till that party. Keeping my eye’s on the ground, I amble through the halls going into the closest girls bathroom. Opening the stall door I swiftly get inside and close it. Reaching into my pocket I grab my phone and send Willow a text. SOS Knowing her, she was probably already on her phone. She replies seconds later.  BFF: what’s wrong? I think kissing Will was a huge freakin mistake. He basically laid his claim on me in front of the classroom just now!  Yah, I can admit, he was probably the hottest guy I have ever seen in my life but there’s a huge difference between lust and infatuation. Plus, every girl here has a crush on him, doesn’t mean I want anything to do with him.  BFF: uh definitely not a mistake... if I was in your shoes I’d be all over that. Rolling my eyes, I shove my phone back into my jean pocket. Taking a deep breath in, I gain back my composure and push open the stall door open and to be greeted by a clearly irritated Gigi. Just my luck. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t the little hussy herself.” She mocks. Her and her little minions are blocking my path from escaping. “You sure ran out of the house fast enough.. how did it feel getting rejected?” She fake pouts. “Wait, I’m sure it happens to you all the time.” She doesn’t think we kissed.. interesting. I so badly want to tell her that we didn’t just kiss we made out. Hard. And just rub it in her face. But that’s just not me. I absolutely hate confrontation and steer clear of it. Especially with my current status quo here at school , there’s no way she would let me continue to skate through here unnoticed. She’d make my life a living hell.  “Yup, he’s all yours.” I flatten my lips. I don’t actually know if they’ve ever dated or anything but I’m sure it’s bound to happen. Popular guy, popular girl there ___ programmed to find each other. “Oh trust me honey, I know. We may be taking a break but he’s gonna be crawling back to me begging for me to take him back.” She gives me a wicked grin before she nods her head at minion 1. She steps over to the side and lets me pass but not before bumping her shoulder into me. Rushing out of the bathroom, I turn to the right towards my next class but am halted when I see Will. He’s casually leaning against a locker talking to Nate, his best friend aka another football jock. Before he notices me I swiftly turn my body around and get the hell out of there. I put a pep in my step as I make my way to the front entrance of the school. I think I’ve had enough for one day. I’m within 12 feet of the door when I hear fast foot steps following close from behind. Guessing who I think it is I get my butt in gear and practically run towards the doors. “Dammit Lexie!” I hear Will roar. Obviously being a faster runner than me he catches up in no time and roughly grabs onto my hand and stop me. “Where the hell are you going?” He turns me around to face him. His eyes are cold and hard as he gazes down on me.  “Home.” I simply say. Prying my hand out of his hold I take a step back away from him. “Why? What’s wrong?” He genuinely seems concerned. “Nothing, I just... I just wanna go home.”  More like get away from you.  I try advert my eyes to anywhere other than his face. Just being in his presence made me squirm. “Bullshit. Why didn’t you wait for me after class?” He hissed through his teeth with an unreadable expression on his face. “Look, I don’t why you’re doing this but I’m not interested. I drank way too much that night and kissed you. I barely even remember that night let alone the kiss.”  Lies.  “Here’s the thing Lexie.” He steps closer to me. “It takes a lot to get my attention, and for some reason I can’t stop thinking about you.”  Shaking my head I look off at the parking lot of the school to avoid looking at him. “Stop, You don’t know what you’re talking about... You didn’t even know I existed before the party.” I watch as he tugs on his bottom lip and motions his eyes down my body. “Let me take you out.” It wasn’t a question. It was a statement.  “Did you not listen to what I just told you?” Was he being serious? I just told him I wasn’t interested.  He shrugs, “It was worth a shot.” Rolling my eyes disgusted I start to walk away from him but he grabs my arm and pulls me against him. I try to pull back but that only makes him tighten his hold on me.  “I’m kidding. You aren’t getting away that easily.” He smirks.  “Let me go.” I tell him lowly.  “No.”  I struggle harder but he’s not letting up.  “Stop fighting me Lexie and you’ll get out of here faster.” He lowers his head toward my ear .“Just agree to go out with me.” His voice is low and sultry. For a moment there curiosity tugs at me and I almost agree but i swallow that feeling and glare at him.  “Mr Bronson! Let go of Miss Olsen this instant!” I hear principal Lawrence shout. His nostrils flare but he reluctantly lets me go. As soon as I’m out of his hold I race off to my car.  Getting in my car I pull out my phone and I see I have a text from Willow. B.F.F: where are you???!! I reply back. Going home, don’t feel too good  B.F.F: okay, well feel better Throwing my phone in the cup holder I put my car in drive and head home. The drive is only about 15 minutes when I pull into the driveway.   I head inside the house and find my dad in the kitchen. “Hey, what are you doing home?” He questions.  “I think I’m sick.” I lie. Plopping my butt on the stool next to him he rests the back of his palm on my forehead. “I think I’m gonna go lay down in bed.”  “Okay, well if you need anything let me know.” Smiling, I get back up and head off to my bedroom. Throwing myself on my bed I close my eyes. I slowly drift off to sleep.  About 2 hours pass and I finally start to awake. I rub my itchy eyes and sit there for a few moments before getting my phone out. I decide to check out Will’s social media. Opening i********: I type his name in and his profile is the first one to show up. Clicking on it, it shows he has over 10,000 followers. Of course he does. I scroll through his pictures , most of them are of himself, either with his friends , playing football and some of his dog. Stopping on a specific picture, I click on it and it enlarges. He’s shirtless, with a pair of basketball shorts on he’s throwing a football. My eyes consume him body from his broad shoulders to his bulky athletic build. The perfect mix of captivating and terrifying. I have my phone above my head when my grip on it slips and smacks me in the face. Picking my phone back up I’m still on his photo when I see I accidentally liked his photo. “s**t, s**t, shit.” Horrified, I quickly tap on it again and unlike it. Exiting out of the app,  I lock my phone and drop it next to me like the damn thing is on fire. Crossing my fingers, I hope he doesn’t notice. Turning my tv on, I try to focus on something other than my phone. About 30 minutes past and I seem to be in the clear. Surely he would have noticed by now.  Suddenly my phone lights up. “Stalking my profile are we?”  Dammit. I was caught. Ignoring the message, notifications keep popping up saying “Will liked your photo.” He literally does this on all my photos. Huffing, I message back.  “Quit liking my photos.” “Never.” It simply said.
