A Strange Place

Young Lisa POV I woke up earlier than usual as I felt strange, almost like when you walk into a dark alley and no matter what you do you won't be able to out run the criminal or escape what's lurking in the dark. Yep, that feeling, not that I would know, but Lu and I would secretly watch scary movies when grandma thought we were sleeping. I was afraid to open my eyes as I knew I would not like what I'm about to discover, which made me more anxious. I decided to keep chanting, I am a daughter of the light over and over again to gain the strength needed to open my eyes, and eventually, I did. At first, I was hit with confusion as I took in my surroundings as I was in a small room that had grey paint that was peeling off, a single bed with old sheets and blanket, a small cupboard which is probably for putting clothes, a table, a chair, and a flickering desk lamp and finally an adjoining bathroom which was unexpected if I'm being honest. As by the looks of the room, it hasn't been lived in or used in years. I decided to brave it out and go exploring. I went to first wash my face at the old sink, a bit surprised it worked pretty well and had warm water, then headed it out of the room. I didn't know where I was going and git lost a few times as there were a few passages that lead to either locked rooms or a bathroom or some kind of communal area. Eventually I did bump into a sweet old lady in one of the rooms that I am going to assume is for laundry and she showed me where to go. After thanking her I went to where she instructed me and eventually found the office with the Initials AB on the door I knocked twice before I heard a voice shout come in....
