30 – Emerson’s POV:
I can’t believe this. I had gone up to my mom’s office because I wanted to talk to her about the problems I’m having concerning Avia. When I got close to her office, I heard her talking to someone. I smelled my Mate and knew. I heard every word that was said starting with the scent-blocking spray. I feel so hurt and betrayed. I didn’t even say anything to them. I know I growled and I knew I had to get to the forest to run off my anger. I made it to the forest and shifted. I didn’t even undress, just shredded my clothes as I shifted. I ran fast and furious for I don’t know how long. I ran past the falls a couple of times, which means the third time around the Packlands I stopped and sat at the water line drinking my full.
