"Go up and rest early. Recording officially starts tomorrow."
Jasper gave me a few instructions, then turned and drove away.
Only now did I truly begin to believe that everything that happened today was real.
The gloom of the past few days vanished. I hummed a tune as I stepped out of the elevator, swiped my card, and opened the door. Suddenly, a jolt of agonizing pain shot through me—
A pair of hands gripped my neck, slamming me hard against the wall in the entryway.
The scent of pine wood pheromones choked me like smoke. "It's only been a few days, and you're already flirting with the Blackthorn's werewolf?"
