HIS DESIRE

THE ESCAPE III

The man dressed in black hoodies turned to Damien.

"And you too, Mr DACO"

" You must have an important job to attend to" Damien signaled to the path that the van took. He couldn't interfere in any matters of the Ashers. Adrian would be worried again if things get out of hand. He'd leave this city in few days from now and he can't do anything to hinder his chance of becoming the Coastal city King.

Besides, Reynolds was the only Asher that was also close to him. They were close friends before he joined The Ashers. Even still, they have a bond together with Adrian, which nobody knows about. They only pretend to like they never knew each other but deep down their hearts they missed their friendship and the things they shared together.

"Of course" Reynolds replied. " If you will excuse me? "

" Sure " Damien kept a distance from Reynolds.

As he turned to leave, he paused and looked back at Damien." How's is Adrian? I hope he's fine?" He asked him with a bit of worry in his face.

"Adrian is doing fine"

"You're leaving for Coastal city?"

"Yeah. With Adrian." Damien walked up to him and hit him playfully on his shoulder. " You'll Miss us hm?"

Reynolds smiled. Nobody was around to see them. And they mustn't. " Why not?" He hit Damien back too

" You'll become a King and I'll still be here, as an Asher"

"It's what you chose, Rey"

"My brothers did. Not me. I tried to convince Adrian back then. " He looked down in sadness. " I had no choice but to join the Ashers and Adrian detest me for that"

"He doesn't. Rey" Damien assured him "He's only scared of losing another of his best friend to the Ashers---"

A call from Reynold's phone disrupted Their conversation. He picked the call.

"The woman is awake and she has escaped boss. A voice said from the phone. Reynolds cut the call and faced Damien. His expression changed into anger.

" If you'll excuse me." He said and left Damien alone to wonder what happened.

Ariel woke up to find herself in a moving van . She felt a throbbing on her head. She tried to remember how she got inside this van. The only thing she remembered was that she was being followed and then... Someone hit her head, then she blanked out.

She must've been kidnapped. Her heart skipped. She looked around to find four men inside the van too. What did they want from her?. She didn't remember owing anybody money. If she wants to escape from them she needs to come up with a perfect plan. She thought of a plan and an idea came to her head.

Ariel lied down back and closed her eyes. The men in the Van noticed her sudden movement. One of them moved closer to her to inspect if she was awake, he found nothing to confirm his suspicion. As he wanted to return to his position, Ariel made a sudden outburst, and coughed severally. It was so violent that you wouldn't think it was a lie .

"Stop the vehicle" The man said to the driver. " The woman is having convulsions." He announced. The van stopped and parked nearby.

"Oh my God! She's epileptic!" One of the men exclaimed.

"Take her out the van first" Another man suggested.

" Yes. Please take her out. " Everyone agreed to take Ariel out of the van in order to avoid any trouble.

Ariel was glad that things were going well according to her plans. The place that the van parked was a disclosed area, so nobody wouldn't know what is going on.

Ariel gradually stopped the act and behaved like she has finished her convulsions. One of the men that took her out waited for her next action before taking any step closer to her. The others didn't come outside the van. They couldn't even near her fearing that being epileptic is contagious. Ariel slowly grabbed the stick close to the ground without the man being aware. As he tried to get close to her , she hit him hard with the stick and ran away. As fast as her legs could carry her .

The man groaned in pain " Aarrrgh! The woman escaped!" He informed his other men, while he still groaned in pain.

The other men came out of the van to chase after Ariel .

Ariel was lucky that they hadn't gone far from where she was kidnapped. She ran faster away from them. She realized that they were already chasing after her. She couldn't let them catch her again. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, dashing into one corner, she bumped into someone. He dragged her to safer place she didn't think of. It was the man she attended to at the restaurant, who kept looking at her. She gasped in Surprise. Why would he help her?

He covered her mouth tightly and pulled her closer to him. The men chasing after her looked around and didn't find her .

"We should spilt. We must find her" one of them send

Ariel listened their footsteps as they came closer to them. Her heart was beating rapidly and The man could hear it too .

"There's only one thing we can do to escape" His deep voice whispered to her ear.

Ariel looked at him in desperately." What?"

He smirked and brought his lips in hers. Ariel wanted to withdraw but he placed his hands on her waist drawing her closer to him.
