Jude spends the rest of the day in his room. Quietly replaying the occurrences of the day. The vision board in position,so calm. Was he loosing his mind?
The names kalas kept coming up to him every now and then. It was torturing and also fear inflicting. He wanted to forget the name so bad that it could not just go away.He could not help but think that he was missing something.
"Hey Jude. You have a friend." His mother called out to him.
Jude had to drag his self downstairs.He does not remember waiting for a visitor,let alone a friend. He had no friends besides his school's study mate,but they lived far off for him to pay a visit.
"I was not expecting anyone mum." He said absent mindly, trying to see who was his mother talking to.
"Well,he is here." His mother says pushing open the door.
"Hey." The stranger says.
Jude is still in shock. He scans silently this boy at his doorstep claiming to be his friend. He is an inch taller than him, round faced that he looks like a big baby and of mixed heritage.
"Can we talk out here." The friend says slowly incase he has overstepped boundaries.
Jude looks back at his mother who pretends to be watching the TV.
"Mum, give me a minute." And locks the door behind him.
It had been long since he had stepped out to admire their home. The flower vases still stood strong,the grass was mowed and the live fence trimmed to perfection. Their houseboy was busy cleaning the garage.
They stood facing each other,stranger stares and unasked questions.
"I don't think I know you." Jude says rather agitated. Being in his home brought some comfort. The stranger could not harm him there.
"I'm Leo. I know you." He says undoubtedly.
Jude is surprised. I know you...the stranger with nerves.
He stays quiet, searching with his eyes any signs of mischief in Leo's eyes but gave up.
"Please,do explain everything to me." He says in defeat.
"I see you in my visions. I saw you even yesterday with the vision board." He pauses.
Jude draw falls and he is petrified. Fear crawls into his soul and his heart is beating a little bit faster.
"I know about kalas." He finishes off to say as Jude steps further from him.
