Christina's POV
"I'm sure I just gave an order," Marcel said, taking a step forward and glaring down at all of them. I wondered if he hadn't seen the problem at hand yet.
I wanted to reach out to him and explain what I could sense going on in the people's minds, but I stayed rooted to the spot.
"Why the sudden hesitation?" he asked.
At his words, some people bowed their heads and knelt, but others remained standing with defiant looks on their faces.
I watched as Elder Garrick stepped forward and began to speak. "Alpha Marcel, we serve you, there's no doubt about that," he began. "But we cannot serve her." He looked pointedly at me, and I hung my head, in shame, causing my cheeks to burn.
"She's an Omega, and even though you have mated her, we cannot accept her as our Luna."
