CHAPTER SEVEN

Aiden widened his eyes in shock even Kylie didn't know where she got the confidence from.

Her cheeks were flushed from embarrassment and she could only look away while using her long hair to cover face. "have fun darling" Immediately she heard his voice, she ran out of the room.

"your ex-wife is such a bad influence" Aiden said as the call connected. He ate all the dishes Kylie prepared leaving no dish attended to.

As Kylie was running to her room, she bumped into her son. "good morning ma" little Ivan greeted with a straight face.Kylie sighed, her little one has always been like this.She couldn't even dress him up or give him his bath.

"Ivan, go dress up, mommy wants to take you somewhere" Kylie's earlier blush had subsided and she smiled. "ok"he replied with an unreasonable expression as he walked away. Damn the George family, she cursed under her breath before going to her room.

Gwen was watching tv with Angel when she got a message from Kylie. Her eyes brightened immediately she saw the screen. She never thought her idea would work, did Aiden become softer? she couldn't help but think. "sweetie, let's go dress up, mommy wants to take you to the park" Gwen looked at the little girl's face as she spoke.

"yeah!!!" Angel screamed as she jumped off her mom's lap. Gwen chuckled at her reaction. "mommy let's go, let's go" Angel pulled her mother forcing Gwen to stand up and they went to Angel's room first. Gwen wore the little girl a simple white shirt with a 'mommy's girl' written on it and a pink short flare skirt. Then she wore her a black sneaker and styled her hair in a double dutch french braid.

"wow, mommy, l have a big butt and l look so good" Gwen couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Yes infact 'so good' is an understatement, you look dashing" Gwen smiled and the little one twirled around due to the flattering she was receiving from her mom before she hugged her. "mommy go dress up, quick" Angel said as they disengaged from the hug. "you wait here for mommy and be a good girl, ok?" Gwen patted Angel's head as she spoke and she gave her a nod. Gwen smiled and went to her room to she dress up. After dressing up, she took Angel outside and flagged a taxi.

"Ivan!" Angel screamed, immediately she let go of her mother's hand and ran to Ivan. "Angel?" the little guy called out softly but he didn't have time to think as Angel enveloped him in a tight hug.

Both Kylie and Gwen states at themselves in shock. How did the kids know each other? she thought.

"mommy this is my brave friend, Ivan" Angel said happily but Ivan's face was a little red, he wasn't used to intimate actions not even from his own mother.

Gwen recalled when she went to pick her from school and she told her about making a friend. Life was such a coincidence, she smiled. Gwen took her time to scan Ivan, she remembered those times he would refuse others but not her when he was very little, tear slipped from her eyes unconsciously and Kylie went to hug her.

"he's so handsome" Gwen said in between the hug and the friends chuckled. "what is her name?" Kylie asked, her eyes on the chatting Angel.

"Angel" Gwen replied. "she takes after her mom, you know" Kylie complimented and they giggled. Gwen walked to Ivan and picked him up before pulling him into a tight hug.

What is wrong with this aunty and her child and hugging? the little one asked himself inwardly but somehow he felt peace and familiarity when she hugged

him. Feeling embarrassed, he tried to pull out from the hug. "Ivan, I'm your aunty, you don't have to be so embarrassed. l took care of you when you were very little so it's fine" Gwen said to ease him. He cooled down but his face was still red and Gwen dropped him, she and Kylie just chuckled.

"aunty is so stylish and pretty" Angel complimented Kylie earning a giggle from Kylie and Gwen. "she talks a lot too like you" Kylie said.

Gwen contacted Delia and they spent time together in the park. While the kids were playing in the monkey bars, the three women talked. Kylie was so happy, for the first time she saw Ivan behaving like his age although he refused to play in the sand box area when Angel brought the idea.

Kylie got to know Delia, she was Gwen's friend and she helped Gwen a lot by taking care of Angel and also finding a job for her. She was also very nice but she was talkative like Gwen.

When evening drew near, Kylie baded her friends as she had to go home, she could see reluctance in Ivan's eyes though. Delia also had to go home so she left. Angel made her mom stay longer and played more, she made her mom play tag with her too. It was during hide and seek, Gwen found her sleeping close to a horse on the merry- go- round.

She chuckled and carried her, she didn't forget to buy more popcorn and ice cream for her baby too and they went home.
