In the morning, I trained with Val a little more. He seemed a lot more confident and proudly showed me the mark Jen gave him. It was beautiful.
Jen showed me her mark too and I was happy for her. She got the bite she wanted, but it had a little extra going for it. Val really was paying attention when we went over plant meanings. I was proud of him and his progress.
We mostly worked on combining his powers for an attack. Boiling water balls and ice balls were great projectiles along with his fireballs. I taught him how to form all three at once. He was drained at the end of it.
Learning to combine magic and do multiple affinity attacks at the same time could be like that. We were on a time crunch, so I wanted to get him familiar with it before we left to fight. Every littl
