[Val] Jen and I watched as the crowd slowly disappeared. They were all eager to get away from the satyr’s home. We took Nalini to where the cherry tree was. Clover had finished with all the shifters and was resting under it with her head in Stanton’s lap. Another woman sat next to him, leaning her head on his shoulder. She looked a little like him. Same hair, same cheekbones, a jaw that was a smaller version of his. I set Nalini on the grass and reached up to the branches of the tree. I asked the tree to produce cherries for her.
