Best Friends?

“Yes! Yes! F**k! Ahh, don’t stop, I’m almost…ahh!’’ Loud moans and the sound of skin slapping together woke him up from his deep slumber. He slowly sat up in bed, resting his back against the headboard. “Doesn’t come by often indeed.” He muttered and angrily got out of bed. He hated it when his sleep was disturbed. He bet that the motherfucker knew he was no longer the only one residing here; he didn’t care if he f****d a thousand women in his room but could he at least keep it down? He quickly unboxed the remaining boxes and placed his laptop on his reading table. He carefully arranged his clothes in the wardrobe and placed his underwear and other private stuff in the wardrobe drawer. He took out his white towel and headed to the bathroom, after taking a shower, with the towel still tied to his waist; he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. He was glad no one was out yet, even if he couldn’t hear sounds from that room anymore, they should probably be cuddling by now, eww. Whatever. He took out a bottle of water from the fridge and sipped, liking the feeling of coolness it left in his throat. A guy in just his Calvin Klein pants walked into the kitchen and paused. His first instinct was to attack the intruder who was busy rummaging through his fridge, but he froze when he looked closely at the person. Could the person he’s been searching for, for over two years just appear in his apartment out of the blue? Or has his guilt come back to haunt him for real this time in the form of hallucination? But he knew this wasn’t an imagination. He slowly approached the figure, not wanting this lucid dream to vanish. Brown sensed a presence behind him and turned. Two half-naked boys stood in the middle of the kitchen, one was shocked but happy, and the other was shocked and angry. “Chris!” “Jasper.” They called out in unison, though with different emotions running through their faces. Jasper was too excited or he just chose to ignore the different emotions Christian was displaying on his face, he went ahead to move closer to him but Christian moved further away from him. He did not want to have anything to do with this asshole, not even for one second. He hated him. Christian didn’t know when his back hit the fridge, the cool but hard surface reminding him that he had nowhere else to run to. He looked up at Jasper with menace clear in his blue eyes, but Jasper seemed to be enjoying what was happening. “Get out of my way.” He said in a bitter tone which made Jasper pause for a second, he understood he had every right to be angry at him, but he never expected to see this raw hatred and anger in him after so long; like it had just happened yesterday. Christian saw that Jasper has paused his advancement, he quickly turned to his left to sidestep him, but he was dragged back effortlessly. His back was dragged back to the fridge again causing the water he was holding to spill on his naked chest and fall to the floor. Two muscular hands were placed beside his head, caging him from trying to escape again. “What the f**k is your problem!?” Christian brought up his hands and pushed on Jasper’s toned chest but his hands were grabbed and caged behind him in a strong grip. “Listen, I’m sorry but this is the only way you’ll listen to me.” Jasper ripped the towel out of Christian’s waist and threw it on the floor, landing it beside the dining table. “You psycho!” Christian in his rage reared his up in an attempt to deliver a head-butt to Jasper’s face. “What’s taking you so lo…ahh! You asshole!” A girl in a lacey pink bra and pants shrieked as she stood in front of the kitchen and saw two naked guys gummed together in front of the fridge. Jasper had placed his body in front of Christian’s, he wasn’t sure why, but he was aware that their pelvis was perfectly joined together, and he knew what it must have looked like to the shocked girl. “Go back to the room, Jacqueline.” He said without looking back at her. “Piece of s**t!” Jacqueline ran into the room, crying. Christian was too shocked to move from the moment he heard the girl scream, to the moment Jasper plastered his half-naked body into his naked body. He was lost for words. He remained static because he came to understand that Jasper had purposely blocked his view with his body because he didn’t want him looking at his naked girlfriend, but he was glad in a way, he didn’t want to be seen naked by a stranger either. They remained like that, each lost in thought, trying to process what just happened. “f**k off you bastard!” Christian took advantage of Jasper’s inattentiveness and pushed him away from himself, he angrily walked to where his towel was thrown, picked it up, and went to his room. Jasper just stood there, confused. He couldn’t understand what happened. Why did he have the urge to shield Christian with his body? He told himself he was probably shielding him from looking at the girl and not shielding her from looking at him, yes, that was it. But, why did he keep staring at him as he walked to pick up his towel? Why was he still staring when he bent over to pick it up? And, why did he keep staring until he went into his room? He sighed and opened the fridge, he took a bottle of water and downed it in a go, he seemed to feel hotter than when he came out for some unknown reason. Inside Jasper’s room, he headed straight to the bathroom. He had promised Jacqueline that they’ll spend the night together, but, right now, he just wanted her to be gone before he finished showering. He thought back to Christian, how he had changed over the years, both in character and looks. He didn’t look weak and scared anymore and he didn’t act it too. He was more masculine and confident this time, and his looks were like those male leads you see in Asian movies, but he was glad he still had a height advantage over him. He stopped in his train of thought when he started to think about Christian’s naked body. He quickly showered and went out into the room. Seeing the naked girl lying on his bed should have evoked a lusty feeling within him, but, he felt nothing, maybe because he felt too guilty towards Christian, that’s why he wasn’t in the right mood to get horny. He gently sat on the bed and called her name. “Jacqueline, wake up.” He said in a low tone. She slowly sat up, taking the sheets to cover her breasts. “Is he gone?” She asked with a frown and looked at Jasper expectantly. She wanted to hear him say that he had chosen her over him, but she knew he must have kept the guy in the other room. At least, she was glad he was back here with her and not with some stupid dude. She was hundred percent homophobic. “Listen, you should go…” Jasper tried to send her home in the most polite way he could think of, but she wasn’t buying it. “Because of that bastard right?” “Enough!” Jasper stood and picked up her clothes and threw them at her. He didn’t know why, but he couldn’t stand her insulting Christian, maybe because he remembered how he had looked two years ago when he caused the whole school to hate and insult him, he had looked so broken and worn out, like his soul was lost. Hearing someone directing an insult toward Christian again, made him guiltier and angrier. Jacqueline was shocked at Jasper’s outburst but she knew how to tame him down. “Come on baby, I’m sorry. I don’t care if you choose to f**k someone else, as long as you come back to me…” She knelt on the bed and slowly let the sheets fall, exposing her firm perky breast. She bit her lips as she slowly massaged her n*****s with her fingers. She unhurriedly got out of bed and stood in front of Jasper and slowly knelt in front of him, loosening his towel as she knelt directly below his waist. Surely, he was hard; she smiled. Jasper stood unmoving as he watched her with distant eyes, he knew he was hard before he even came back to the room, He’s become hard from the moment he jammed his body into Christian’s naked one, and now, he felt like the girl below him was disrupting his fantasy he knew she was excited to see his arousal; thinking she was the cause of it. He let her take it into her mouth, closing his eyes to push the image of Christian’s exposed ass out of his head, but, he failed. She took his duck deep into her throat, sucking and licking the whole length, yet, he couldn’t get it off with the image in front of him. He forced himself to look at her bobbing head as she took his length in and out of her mouth, but, he got irritated instead of hornier. “Stop.” He held her lightly on the shoulder, putting a distance between them. “Come on Jasper, don’t pretend like you don’t enjoy it.” She licked her lips, looking from his d**k to his face. “Go home, Jacqueline.” He turned and walked to his wardrobe to put on his clothes. “You’re truly an asshole! Jerk! It’s over between us!” She hastily put on her clothes and ran out of the room., stopping in the middle of the living room and looking directly at the other room, shouting so both occupants could hear. “Both of you disgust me. Rot in hell!” She slammed the door so hard it threatened to fall off its hinges. “f**k this.” Jasper clenched his fists beside him. He didn’t want Christian to misunderstand him by believing he sent Jacqueline off with the idea that they were unto something when she saw them in the kitchen. He cared less about what Jacqueline thought, all he wanted was to clear things up with Christian and apologize, he did not want them starting on the wrong foot, maybe he could alleviate the strange feeling he felt toward him. He was sure it was guilt and nothing more. It has to be. Christian typed furiously into his laptop, he heard everything from his room, the walls weren’t soundproof after all. Out of everything in the world, he had to be mistaken as a couple with that devil. He scoffed, smiling bitterly to himself. He transferred all his pent-up anger into the scene he was writing, it was an angry scene and it fit well with his sour mood. After three hours of non-stop typing, he looked at the time, it was midnight, and he was starving. He stood up and stretched his body, twisting his upper body from left to right to get rid of the stiffness in his waist and back. He was glad his parents had stocked the fridge with foodstuffs and snacks for him, they told him nothing was in there when they came, not even water. He went out to the living room and the sweet smell of home-baked pancakes assaulted his nostrils, he looked into the kitchen and saw his plague tying a black apron around his neck as he made the pancakes. He knew it was his stuff he used to make those pancakes but he wasn’t in the mood to exchange words with him so he just ignored him and went to get a snack from the fridge, he didn’t want to cook something now as that demon was still using the kitchen. “Don’t,” A hand halted him from taking out his snack from the fridge. He looked back to see Jasper giving him his signature dimpled smile. “Come on, let’s eat, I made for two.” Immediately Jasper finished talking, They heard someone’s stomach growl angrily. Jasper saw a blush appear on Christian's cheeks, cute. Christian jerked his hand out of Jasper’s hold and went over to sit in the dining. A hungry man’s will was indeed fickle. Jasper smiled and placed a plate full of homemade pancakes in front of Christian and he took the seat on the other side of the dining table, facing him. He wanted to sit next to him but he wanted him to be comfortable around him first, comfortable enough to be friends, best friends even. Christian dug in without looking up at Jasper, wanting to finish up quickly and go to his room, where he couldn’t see him. “What if I poisoned it?” Christian choked on his food as he heard Jasper’s wicked question. He would believe him in a blink of an eye, he was a devil, and he could do it without batting an eye. Jasper handed him a glass of water and gently patted his back. “Easy there, easy, I was just joking.” He felt a frown form on his face as he thought of how fast Christian tried to puke the ones he has already put down, he believed his joke in less than a second which shows that he still thought of him in an ill way. He sat in his chair, nursing his anger, he was angry at himself. “I’m sorry, Chris. I was an i***t. I didn’t consider other people’s feelings because I wanted to have fun, but that doesn’t justify my actions to you Chris. Give me a chance to redeem myself and null this guilt that has been eating me up for so long…” Christian finally finished his pancakes and looked up from his plate. “You’re not sorry. You just want my forgiveness so you can live guilt-free and move on with your life. You don’t care about others' feelings, all you care about is yourself, yourself, and yourself. Selfish bastard.” He stood up angrily and left the kitchen. He stopped in the middle of the living room and looked back at Jasper. “I don’t have anything to say to you.” He said coldly to him. Jasper strode to him in quick strides. “Just listen to me damn it!” He clasped Christian's wrists and dragged him into his arms, clasping his arms around him. Christian felt a sense of de ja vu, he has come to understand that this was the only way he could listen to him. His body felt unable to move against his captor, so he just stood there, pressed against his chest. “Let go, man, I’ll listen.” Christian muffled against Jasper’s chest. Jasper smiled, he knew it would work, if his observation from earlier were correct, and it was. Christian wasn’t immune to his hot body after all. This was a little secret he would keep to himself until he was ready to expose him. He slowly stepped away from Jasper, holding him firmly in his hand, and led him to sit on the sofa. “What do you want from me?” Christian asked as he shifted away from Jasper who sat very close to him. The question brought back memories of Christian, the same person but in a different situation, and what he wanted this time was quite different too. “Forgive me.” He said assertively, looking Christian straight in the eyes. Christian still found it hard to believe what he was hearing, he didn’t know if he should believe this lying bastard, he didn’t know if this kind of person could change. Left for him, he would just live in the apartment with him as a ghost, he would just have to avoid being in the same place with him. He didn’t want to have anything to do with the person who made him go through hell, and the problem he was facing now was still his making. “I’m sorry, I can’t…” “Please,” Jasper cut him off, he held his hand and drew nearer to him. He held up Christian’s face with his index finger, making him look straight at him. “Please, I know I’ve made you suffer, I can’t even imagine the hell you had to pass through but believe me, I’ve been through hell too. Let’s give ourselves another chance. Chance to fully heal, please.” Christian’s resolve was shaken, he saw the raw pain in Jasper’s gray eyes, he wanted to keep hating him but if he was being truthful to himself, he was tired of living in the past, he wanted to forget it, and the best person to heal with was the one who caused the pain, even he seems to have gone through some s**t too. He sighed, defeated by the heartbreaking expression from the person in front of him. “You can talk without touching me.” Christian removed his face from Jasper’s hold but didn’t move away from him. He needed his peace, and to achieve that, he needed to get used to being close to Jasper, even if he wasn’t going to be here often, at least, for the days he would be, he wanted to be comfortable around him, he could at least try being comfortable with him, then he would know if they could even become friends. Jasper noticed Christian’s demeanor change from aggressive to calm, he took that as a positive sign. “Yes?” He brought his face in front of Christian's face, pinching his cheeks and smiling. “What?” Christian fell back to the sofa to avoid the crazy guy that was trying to tear his cheek out of his face. He tried standing up but Jasper mimicked his movement with his much larger body frame, obstructing him. They went at it for some time until Christian got tired and plumped back against the sofa, sighing. “Say yes and I’ll let you go” Jasper smiled. Christian watched him for a few seconds and decided to concede. “Yes! Damn it, now get off me.” “You said it, we’re best friends now. I recorded your approval, don’t go back on your words.” Jasper lifted himself off the sofa, smiling triumphantly at Christian. “You…” Christian was speechless, how did they become best friends, he had just said yes to forgiving him, and now, there were best friends. They didn’t know how, but they sat there, chatting until it was very late. Each trying not to be too forward by delving into what had happened since they last saw each other, they wanted to be comfortable with each other before prying into each’s business. Christian yawned and stretched on the sofa. “Umm, goodnight…see you tomorrow?” He scratched the back of his head. Jasper didn’t want to end their chat session but he had to let him get some sleep. He stared at Christian’s flawless sleepy face and resisted the urge to pinch his cheeks again. “Alright, time to go to bed.” Christian nodded and headed to his room, he entered his room and turned to close the door, but he saw Jasper standing between his door. “What do you want?” He narrowed his eyes at him. “Can I sleep with you?” “No!” Before Jasper could react, the door was harshly slammed in his face. He stood shocked for a second and headed back dejectedly to his room. Can’t I sleep with my bestie? He pondered as he entered his room. Why did he want to sleep in my room? Is he planning some evil again? Christian wondered as he lay in bed, staring at the roof. He won’t let his guard down so easily toward him, he had to be on guard for as long as he could, even though he didn’t seem bad earlier. Once a psycho, always a psycho.
