The past five days with Trevor had been wonderful. Joanna was on cloud nine. So much so, even Selena had noticed her happy demeanor.
Joanna was in Selena’s bedroom at the estate watching her put on make-up to go out with Christopher for dinner.
“I have to say you seem very happy for someone who had a horrible fallen out with a friend a week ago,” Selena said as she applied eye shadow on her lids.
“I am, but it’s for the best. Surely, you understand why I cut Beverly off,” Joanna said.
“I understand completely. If it was Christopher and I was in your shoes, I would have gotten mad as hell at her to. I had explained that to Beverly. She seems to understand that she had crossed a line under the circumstances.”
