Chapter two: A Rude Awakening

"That's what happens when you take money from the wrong people."

I woke up, Sweating. That night. What a terrible way for my parents to- I don't even want to think about it. Today has to be a good day. I've got my interview for my first job. I'm going to work on my parents case. I won't let them down. 

I swiftly get up and put on the nicest pair of jeans I own and tux like top on. As I threw my brown hair up in a ponytail. I put on the only makeup I know how to do, Mascara and eyeliner. I put on just a tad of lip gloss and hurry down the stairs. I quickly picked up my lunch and go out of the door. Locking it behind me. "My purse!" I say as I unlock the door and run back up the stairs. I grab my purse and shut my window. 

I don't remember opening my window last night. 

Oh well. 

Making my way back downstairs and grab my phone and my keys before shutting the door a second time. Locking it. I hurry to my black SUV. I turn on my car and start backing out. I turn on my radio before cruising down the roads. I've been here forever. This is finally my chance. My chance to put the terrible people in jail for what they did. I won't let you down Mom and Dad. My driving hurries. 

I park in the parking lot. I make my way to the front counter. 

"Can I help you?" A woman asks. She wears a dress like shirt and leggings. She wears black rectangular glasses and her hair is in a brown bun. 

"I have an interview today?" I say it like it's a question.

"Your name?" Asks the woman. She seems irritated. 

"Uh! I'm Anna- Anna green!" I say. This talking thing is getting harder. 

"Oh, Anna green?" She asks. 

"You can go to the third floor, The woman there will help you out." She says calmly. 

"Okay! Thank you!" I say. 

My small feet make their way up the stairs, Why are there so many to get to the second floor? 

"There's an elevator right there you know." A man says. 

I run over to this elevator, Sweating like a pig. I get in. I press the button that shows '3'.

The doors open. 

Here we go

"Yes Sir I am." 

"The same Anna Green that had both of her parents murdered during a robbery?" 

"..Yes." 

"The Same Anna Green who still hasn't caught the murderer?" 

"Yes."
