My eyelids fluttered open slowly as I stirred to wake again. There was a slight throb in my head, but it wasn't too painful. I froze when I felt hot breath against my face and that's when I realized that I wasn't the only one sleeping on the bed.
My eyes went round and wide as I slowly turned my head to the side to find Mr. Zahn's beautiful face greeting me. His eyes were closed, and his breathing was rhythmic, indicating that he hadn't woken up yet.
My heart went wild as I took in the proximity between us. His face was literally inches away from mine, and I started to become vaguely aware of how his arms were wrapped around me, holding me against him as he slept.
