"You look like I am committing something illegal," I chuckled as Mr. Zahn drove me home after we went grocery shopping together. He had been giving me the stink eye ever since I mentioned my plans with my colleagues for the evening. His frown seemed to deepen as we drove on. "I thought we could have dinner together, Amelia," he said with a hint of disappointment. "I promised to make you steak - a three-course meal, remember?" He glanced at me from the corner of his eye.
