It took a week for the heat to stop. A week of freezing bathtubs and pain. I haven’t slept much and I haven’t been able to eat either. When I woke up without the throbbing pain I was so happy. I got up and my body felt weak. Seth is passed out next to me with his arm draped across my stomach. I slide out of his arms and get dressed. I walk out and see Riley watching a movie with Sabastian on the couch. “Hey” I say and they both look at me.
“Hey Audrey! Is it over?” Riley asked. I nodded my head and went into the kitchen. I took out some leftover lasagna and microwaved it. My stomach was growling non stop. I took a seat on the couch next to Riley to eat. Seth woke up a few minutes later and sat next to me. He looked so relieved and exhausted. He hasn’t slept much either.
