Ruby “Thank you,” Asher muttered when he finally woke up. “It’s okay,” I said simply, trying to avoid looking in his eyes, so I don’t embarrass myself. We got out of the car, and he reached for my hand. I didn’t say anything. I just let him hold me and lead the way inside. “Please send someone to get our things into the room,” he said to one of the girls at the front desk. “Good afternoon Sir, you’re welcome to the house. This is your room card. There’s a phone in your room that you can call if you need something. Anything at all, just feel free to call.” The girl went on to explain everything to us. “It’s okay, thank you. My wife and I are here for our honeymoon, and we hope to get the best experience here.” He finally chimed in and, for a second there, I thought I misheard him. W
