“Do you trust me?” Asher whispered to me just as we got to the stairs.
“I don’t, but I think I’ve got some spare trust in me tonight,” I teased and he nodded.
“I’ll take that.” He chimed in while I nodded too.
“Close your eyes,” he retorted, and without asking, I shut my eyes.
He went mute for a second and I knew he was probably swiping his fingers in my face, trying to see if my eyes were really closed.
The next thing I felt was his body behind me. He wrapped his hands firmly around my waist and I could hear his breathing against my body.
“Just follow my lead,” he whispered, and I released myself then.
He led me gently till he stopped and then held my hand.
“Ready?” He asked, and I nodded.
“You can open your eyes now,” he added, and I slowly did.
