I couldn’t place it, but I could tell there was something bothering Ruby. She seemed a bit different from the person I saw in the morning. There was a glow in her eyes too and, without deceiving myself, I knew I wasn’t the reason behind it.
“Could she have heard my call with Camila?” I thought to myself but quickly shook off the thought. There is no way she did. I intentionally left the room to answer the call so she wouldn’t hear us.
I really don’t understand why Camila had to call too, when I had already explained the situation of things to her. I'd made her promises before leaving, so why try to breach our agreement? I can’t really blame her either, she must be missing me so badly.
