Amelia walked down to get a closer look.
There was a small crowd surrounding an older man who grabbed a young boy that looked to be about 8 years old by the arm.
The man was harshly berating the boy.
From the murmurs of the people around, Amelia found out what had happened.
Apparently the boy had walked into the drug store the man owned and had stolen some drugs while his attention was elswwhere.
He had walked out the door and was about to take off with his loot when the man caught up with him.
The man had pinched his ears hard and slapped him in the face.
Tears welled up in the boy's eyes and he bit his lips to keep them from falling.
The man dragged him by the collar and was about to keep on beating him.
Amelia could not bear to watch the scene any longer so she walked forward.
