The medical warriors were tending to the injured when Xavier arrived and the commanding warrior ran up to him hurriedly the moment he arrived.
"My Lord." He said, bowing in respect to Xavier and Drew.
"What happened here?"
Although Conner already told Xavier what happened, he still wanted a full recount of the whole situation.
"My Lord they took us by surprise. Our scouts had been noticing some unusual movement their end before today but I paid it no heed, thus giving them the chance to invade us. It is all my fault." The warrior replied, taking all the blame on himself.
"You are the patrol guards for a reason, you are meant to always be at alert. How could you say they took you by surprise and why didn't you react on time?" Xavier berated angrily.
