As I knocked on the door, I noticed it was slightly ajar. When I pushed it, it opened with a creak. Normally, I wouldn't dare to enter. It wasn't a place that belonged to me, but Botan was alone, and the circumstances were understood. When I looked inside with concern, everything seemed normal. Botan wasn't there, and there was no sign of anything unusual inside. When I stepped into the highland house, I was greeted by an air of melancholy. I felt a weight in my heart because I was taken aback and saddened to see photos of Botan with his ex-wife hanging on the walls.
