Sanna stood in the room for a moment. She looked at the trunks. She looked at the door the woman had walked through. Nobody came. She had half expected, after the initial refusal, that someone might appear, a junior member of staff, a compromise. Nobody came. There was no household here that she could see, no hierarchy of service she could navigate or appeal to. She was in a room on a ship city. There was a bathroom and Meeka's trunks.
