"Aya wake up! Aya wake up!" Aya was still stunned when she heard a shout and unknowingly grabbed a dagger under the pillow and attacked the man who woke her up but luckily that man quickly escaped. "Aha wake up!" The man repeated, he was none other than Noknok. Aya was shocked to see the face with a big smile. "Aya, are you awake yet?" This will ensure that the smile does not disappear. It was also ten years ago that a general found her give her a new home. In those ten years it was Noknok who woke him up. Noknok was also adapted, according to the general, Noknok's father was a landlord but his whole family was killed and like Aya he had no family left. The only difference is that he personally saw how the his whole relatives was killed and from that day on he lost his emotions and always just smiled. Aya, on the other hand, always frowned. "Aya I quickly avoided you." Noknok's happily words. His right hand was bleeding which she immediately reached for. "How many times do I have to tell you not to come near me when you wake me up?" "Aya, it's okay, you treat me right away." He was still happy as he watched her tie the wound on her arm. "Ah Aya, why are you having nightmares again? Aya, I thought you were not dreaming of them anymore?" "Hayyy! The amount of questions you have! Get out!" Aya get irritated early in the morning, she is pushing him out of her room. She often had nightmares about the incident ten years ago so she did not want to talk about that incident. Two years have passed since the last and only now has she been visited again in the dream of his hometown. She just thought maybe she would be followed for life by the nightmare of the past. "Wait a minute." Noknok stopped her. "I have something to say." "What else?" She stopped pushing him because he was already outside of her room. They are both adapted in this house of the general and both are orphans so they are close to each other. But even though they were both adopted by the general, they were in a different position within the army base. Aya, even though she is a woman, is known throughout the eastern border city as a brave and relentless person who is titled as The Hunter. Noknok, on the other hand, is a man who is only a servant in the army and is often a source of amusement. The children called him weak. "Aya the general is summoning you." "Yes, now go, I'll take a bath." Aya speaks fast here. "Aya, I've already taken water for your bath." He added that he was the only one who enjoyed everything he said this morning. "Wow, what do you need?" Aya thinks he needs something so he takes water again. she laughed at it but she was really worried about him that people outside the soldiers' station make fun again of Noknok again. Becouse sometimes Noknok is ordered to shop alone. "The truth is I also took a bath, you stink." Aya heard him giggle a little and she didn't like it. "Me? Stinky? Really?" Aya was about to step closer to him but he quickly ran away and disappeared from her sight. "You're really faster now ha." Aya smiled weakly that only she could hear herself. She also thanked that she had nothing to worry about. She thought that Noknok, has something to report to her again. Later that morning, Aya knocked on the door of the general's office. "General! This is Aya!" She said inform the old man inside that office. "Come in!" She heard from inside. Aya pushed the door to open it and immediately saw the general busy reading. Heaps of papers lying on its front desk. "Good morning general," she greeted. "You called me." "You want to study at Paldreko don't you?" The general asked looking at her. The general is old, in fact it is easy to notice the white hairs on his head. Yet hes handsome physique can still be seen. Aya bowed to that question to the general. She often said the same thing here but the general always said that she did not have the ability to enter the main state of the kingdom called Paldreko. But now, she could not understand why the general himself brought up the matter? She knew that general knew why she wanted to study at Paldreko. And her reason for that is also the general's reason why he does not allow her to go to Paldreko. I hope so ...." Her only answer. "How's your dog?" This question has nothing to do with Paldreko. Aya just thought that maybe the general wanted to change the subject and that he would not really allow her to go to Paldreko. She hold the triangular pendant she is wearing. The general gave her that to imprison her brother's pet dog there. That way, it became a secret between the two of them and the general about the Dog who was just a puppy in her nightmare. "He is fine." She replied. But the truth is, the giant dog was not inside the pendant but was out in the forest nearby. "When you come to Paldreko do not let him out even if you think no one can see you. Because in that place the earth really has ears and the wind has eyes." The general did not flinch at her even the way he looked at her also tells that he was not a joking.   Send feedback Download
