Chapter one... "the board"

“ Jim"  Lussi called has she walked into the house  “ Come on we will be late "   they where going to have drinks to celebrate their friend, well he was more than a friend to her since they all grew up at the same orphanage and have been inseparable since then “you dress slower than a girl you know  that right?" Lussi said joking has he walked in, and she  walked out with him has he locked the door  and put the key under the flower pot beside the door “i thought i said no putting the key under the flower pot 

    “well you never came up with a better idea did you? " he said then walked towards the car and she frowned Jim was a computer geek with a computer tech degree and with that one would think he would have  shaken off his old fashioned way but he was still as old school  has they come shaking her head she walked into the car since the traffic was moderate they got to the club in record time. 

Walking into the club, the light in the club was low and music blasted out of the speakers, there were people on the over packed dance floor and a couple made out by the side has someone shouted for them to get a room sporting Manuel where he sat in a boot they walked to him 

"hey guys you are early who dragged who" Manuel said sarcastically has Lussi gave him a hug and a play punch "has always i had to drag Jim's ass" laughing Manuel gave Jim a one handed hug then sat down "i sometimes  wonder how you survive living has his roommate" 

  "cause am awesome to live with" Jim defended "Zorn is not here yet?" he asked and manuel shook his head "said he had to get to the station last minute client problem said he would join us later " he said taking a sip of his drink " am getting me a drink then" Jim said walking  away 

"get me a drink too matinee will be okay" Lussi  called after him 

"so when are you going to resume work" for has long has they've known each other Manu had always been passionate about science and to see him fulfilling his dream of being a scientist and working in the best research company was very nice "i start next week" Manuel said has he watched the way the light made her brown hair look red for has long has he could remember he had been  in love with her  and he had fought so hard not to let it show "congratulations mate" she said looking into his eyes has Jim came dropping lussi's drink in front of her "what did i miss" he asked breaking the atmosphere 

"he starts work next week" lussi replied taking a sip of her drink "

" that's good congratulations does that mean we'll be seeing less of your face "Jim said and Manu shrugged " not like u like seeing my face so yes you'll be seeing less of me " laughing they drank in silence for a minute "  our guy just walked in " 

" looks like the party started without me hun "zorn said pulling a chair from the next table and taping Jim's back" lus" he nodded at her in greeting " and the one that brought us all here congratulations mate the next round is on you manu" 

"sure sure make poor me broke before i get my paycheck" manu said 

"am sure you can handle it pal" zorn tapped his shoulder has he signaled to the bartender and ordered their drinks, the bartender brought there drinks has lus and Jim  started there back and forth "children" zorn said shaking his head "a toast to our scientist friend and nerd,  no offense manu" 

"none taken" manu replied 

"cheers" they said together and knocked down their drinks.
