A Vow For Vengeance

Everyone geared up as fast as they could and were assigned to different cities but Marc and Alph ignored them and ran as fast as they could to their district. When they reached their home, they immediately warned their families.
Marc: Mom, everyone!! Let’s go we need to leave!!”
Mom: Marc, what is the meaning of this?! First you lie to my face for more than a year and now you come barging in and telling us to go? Go where?! To your lies??!
Marc: Mom, I promise to explain everything to you later but c’mon please we need to go!!
Mom: No, explain to me now!
Marc: Mom theres no time we need to go-
suddenly a large explosion happens on their house knocking Marc back. Marc wakes up and sees someone grabbing strangling his mom. By instinct he rushes to save her dealing a blow to the guy knocking him back. He comforts his mom and tells her to take his siblings and run. His mother does what he says and runs.
Marc is now left to take on this formidable opponent…
Marc: Who are you?!
???: That’s the question I should be asking you, to be able to send me back so much… Your mother must mean so much to you…
He then charges up a spell pointed to his family. Marc immediately goes and stops him but the guy dealt a blow to his stomach sending him back but Marc gets up and launches a spell towards him but the guy deflects it so Marc runs towards him to fight him sword-to-sword. They fought and fought but the guy overwhelms Marc and knocks him down.
???: What a waste of power when you can’t even control it, now before I kill you say goodbye to your family first
The guy then points a spell towards Marc’s mom and fires it.
Marc: No!!!!
Suddenly Alph arrives in the nick of time and took the attack to his body dealing major damage.
???: How unfortunate
the guy then looks down ready to kill Marc but doesn’t see him. Suddenly Marc launches a big uppercut and knocks him down.
Marc: You will pay for that…
Marc gets ready to kill the guy but reinforcements arrived and hits Marc.
Goon: Sir, we just got an order to retreat
???: alright…
Marc: Hey we’re not done yet!! Remember this name, the name that will end your life!! I Marc of The Republic of PHI swear to kill you even if it’s the last thing I do!!”
Judah: Well Marc, I would like to see you try… I Judah of The Glade Empire gladly accepts your challenge!! I will see you soon Marc…
Marc sighs in disbelief and runs to his family and Alph and was surprised to see him fully healed.
Marc: Didn’t you just get hit by a powerful spell just now?!
Alph: Oh that, it still hurts but the reason I’m fine is…
Rence: *pops* Hey Marc!
Marc: Rence?! How did you get here?”
Rence: I was told to assist you guys by Herm incase you guys did anything reckless and his hunch was right. YOU (Alph) took a powerful attack with your body instead of casting a defense spell and YOU (Marc) fought Judah of the Glade Empire which is like one of the strongest generals of the Glade Empire you’re lucky to be alive right now. You both better be prepared to be disciplined.
Afterwards, both Marc and Alph were called to the Marshal’s office.
Marshal: So… I’m gonna get straight to the point. You both participated in evacuating the civilian’s during the recent invasion and we thank you for that. However, we noticed that you both have some loose screws in your heads. You, Marc faced and went toe-to-toe with one of the strongest generals of The Empire and managed to survive with minor injuries. And you, Alph tanked an entire spell from an Empire General instead of creating a defense spell, I also heard that during the invasion you were assigned and ordered to evacuate civilians in district 8 but not only did you disobeyed that order but talk backed to your superior saying your family is more important than anyone else. Your actions will have consequences. But I like you both. You both have courage and stand up for your family. I respect that, you both will be valuable assets in the future but for now you both still need more training. As for your punishment, you both will be on clean-up duty every after training. That will be all.
They were both then going back to the barracks when Marc asks Alph a question.
Marc: Alph I’ve been meaning to ask you, what did The Marshal mean when he said that you value your family more?
Alph: Huh, isn’t it obvious? I consider your family as my own…
Marc: I never thought that you think of them like that…
Alph: I always did, ever since you rescued me and introduced me to your family overtime, I thought of them as my own… I want to protect them, to protect our family…
Marc: Thank you Alph… Let’s make a promise.
Alph: A promise?
Marc: A promise to never leave our family behind, to always have each other’s backs. Till the end...
Aloh: Deal.
When they arrived at the barracks they were confronted by their roommates and was bombarded by questions.
Prince: Yo did you really fight a general of the Empire?!
Joseph: How strong was Judah? Probably not that strong right I can probably take him.
Sam: You can’t even defeat a simple cadet. How can you take on a general?
Joseph: Shut up Sam!”
Herm then walks towards them.
Herm: Alright everyone that’s enough give them some space, you both have some balls to do those type of moves haha. But we’re thankful for your service, you both managed to limit the movements of a general and rescue civilians at the same time. We’re grateful… Now everyone its time to go to sleep!
The next day after training Herm called for a meeting and made an announcement to his squad.
Herm: Alright everyone attention! I just got news that in the next 3 days we will have our first mission as a squad! I’m requesting all of you to follow all of my orders and to take this seriously!
Everyone: Yes sir!
Herm: Tomorrow we will have another meeting. All right dismissed!
The members talk to each other about how excited/nervous they are about their first mission.
Marc was taking a walk through the peaceful streets when he felt an ominous presence following him.
Marc: Who’s there?! Show yourself!
???: Alright you got me
Marc: Who are you and why are you following me?
Flime: The name’s Flime.
Marc: What are your intentions? *serious*
Flime: Chill out man, I’m here to negotiate.
