I looked at Damien, then at Stephanie, who crossed her legs. I have known Stephanie for a while to see that she is nervous.
Damien gives me an icy glare as if daring me to try and go against him. So I decided to surprise him.
"Congratulations, brother. I hope I get to be the best man," I said with a big smile. If he is surprised, he doesn't show at all.
"Why do you think I am here? Stephanie wants Alina to be her maid of honour, and you are my best man." he continues, amused by the situation.
