"Look," I sigh, "there is nothing going on between me and Brandon. He's my bodyguard and that's it."
"Oh please," Bianca says, "I've seen the way that man looks at you, the way he touches you, but only after asking. And listen, I've been through some s.hit of my own. I'm not saying it was the same thing that you went through at all babe, but it wasn't a walk in the park. Without James," she clears her throat clearly getting choked up as her eyes take on a glassy sheen and I suspect she's holding back tears. "Without James, I don't think I would have gotten over everything. I'm not saying you have to fall in love and get married and have babies, it's just nice sometimes to not have to shoulder all your burdens alone. And Brandon looks like he would walk through fire for you."
