"Wh-who are you?" I ask, taking a step back. River comes over to stand beside me, sensing my panic I'm sure. After he nuzzles me with his nose he turns his attention to the intruder and starts to growl.
"Call the dog off." The man says in a no-nonsense tone of voice. I stare at him, not sure what to do right now. He must have done something to Brandon but Gavin will see it on the cameras, and since Lanie and Aaron are off, another back-up should be coming soon. I just have to stall him, that's all. I can do that. Right? "Annie," the guy snaps at me, "call the dog off."
