Brandon POV
I watch them leave and it feels like I have bugs crawling all over my skin. I don't like being away from Annie, especially this close to the trial, and I really don't like the fact that Ted is the only one taking them there. I'm about to text Annie and ask her to text me every ten minutes when there's another knock on the door. I open it up and it looks like Melissa was right; Gavin, Shawn, and James come barging in.
"Hey man," James says and I nod at him. Shawn just claps me on the back, and Gavin pushes past both of them and grabs both of my shoulders.
"How are you doing?"
"Honestly not great."
"We figured," Shawn butts in, "that's why we're here."
"We know the trial is hanging around both of your necks we thought you could use some time to not be stressing about it."
