Chapter Twenty-Two To Run, To Give My All Race day had arrived with all the glitter and glitz that it entailed; the guests were ready and eager, the racers dressed and ready with determination filling their minds, and the ponies were wearing their master or mistress’ colors. Madam looked about; she spoke to a few selected people and then swiftly made her way to the front line where the races would be started. A draw was made using a bingo game machine and ponies were matched together in fours. Each of the first two to cross the line would move along and be placed in the next race series. Eventually the draw and runners would have been whittled down to a single group of four racing steeds and carriages.
